タイトル：Dressed State Formalism in a Time Box – Constructing an Infrared-Finite S-matrix
概要：Due to the problem of infrared divergence, the S-matrix, which describes scattering processes, is not well-defined in the conventional formulation of quantum field theory. Dressed state formalisms are a strong candidate for constructing the S-matrix. In this talk, I will review the S-matrix and long-range interactions. Then I will propose a dressed state formalism. This formalism can construct a finite S-matrix, at least in quantum electromagnetism. It also encompasses asymptotic symmetry and memory effect, as expected from Strominger’s infrared triangle relation.
